About Interactive_Me
Interactive_Me is based on the simple idea that the evidence based practice of reminiscence is a promoter of wellbeing for people with dementia. Interactive_Me provides individuals with an online profile which they can access at home to re-engage with past and present through the use of an uncomplicated and easy to use in either a traditional or touch screen interface.
Interactive_Me provides an easy to use solution to the lack of activity people experience when living with dementia and hopes to maintain individual's contact with their past and present. It stimulates not only the individual's memories but also promotes carers increased understanding and relationships with loved ones
Interactive_Me aims to promote active engagement of individuals by prompting carers to engage the individual in life story discussion and the maintaining of productive and leisure persuits.
Designed and run by Occupational Therapist Mr Sam Dondi-Smith, Interactive_Me can create and maintain private online profiles of individuals who live in the community or residential homes.
How it works:
1. We come to your home to discuss interactive_me and agree on a package to suit you
2. You provide as much detail about someones life in order to us to create the best profile possible
3. We create the besboke profile catered to your needs
4. We show you how to use it
5. That's it, then you have time to enjoy tour profile with others.
